Application Instructions: For best results, follow these steps carefully. Always work in a well-ventilated area, wear protective gear (gloves, mask, goggles), and test on a small area first.
Surface Preparation: Clean the surface thoroughly with soap and water, then degrease using a wax and grease remover. Sand the area with 400-600 grit sandpaper for smooth adhesion. For bare metal, apply a primer first. Mask off surrounding areas to prevent overspray.
Mixing: Shake or stir the paint well before use. Thin with a compatible urethane reducer (recommend 4:1 ratio) for spray application. Adjust based on your equipment and conditions.
Application: Use an HVLP spray gun with a 1.3-1.4mm tip at 50-60 PSI. Apply 2-3 light, even coats with 5-10 minutes flash time between coats. Ideal temperature: 70-80°F with low humidity. Tack-free in 15-30 minutes; ready for clear coat in 30-60 minutes.
Topcoating: Apply a 2K clear coat over the basecoat for protection and shine. Allow full cure (24-48 hours) before polishing or exposing to elements.
Cleanup & Safety: Clean tools immediately with lacquer thinner or acetone. Flammable – keep away from heat/sparks. Harmful if inhaled. Use in a ventilated space or with a respirator. Dispose of waste per local regulations.
